Personal cybersecurity

Did you know that there are cybersecurity attacks every 39 seconds?

Remember to...

  1. Never send account numbers or passwords via email or social media.
  2. Use a unique password for each online account. Don't use the same password on multiple sites.
  3. Use a strong password. Size DOES matter. Even though most websites require some combination of UPPER, lower, numbers and symbols. It is far more important to have a long password. 10 characters at a minimum. 16 to 32 recommended.
  4. Be aware of phishing scams. Do not click on attachments or links you were not expecting. Be careful not to provide sensitive information to email addresses you do not recognize. Review if the website you are being redirected to is safe (https://transparencyreport.google.com/safe-browsing/search?hl=en).
