2 things I have learned...

For several years I was involved in a personal and professional development program and here are two things I learned...

People often do not answer the questions you ask them.

This is especially true when you ask a question which requires a commitment or exposes an area or issue where they did not keep their promise to you.

E.g. what work is outstanding? When will you be available to speak?

Emails should stick to one subject and should end with a clear action.

This coaching did not come directly from the work I was doing, but it did come from someone I respect a lot.

It is very simple:

  • Stick to one topic/issue in each email.
  • End email with a request or a question.
